International Expert in Gender, Peace and Security Policies Irene Fellin has worked for several international organizations for women's rights and gender issues.

Dr. Fellin lived in Ankara, where she collaborated with the local offices of UNICEF and UNPD. Her job in Turkey was to train and assist local staff on gender issues by analyzing issues such as domestic violence, honor killings and early marriages.

She worked from 2013 to 2014 as Policy Advisor to the "NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security", with the task of training the organization's staff on WPS-related issues, and assisting NATO in the implementation of the Plan National for United Nations Resolution 1325.

Since 2014, Dr. Fellin has been working as a Trainer at CoESPU - Center of Excellence for Police Stability, on gender issues, peace and security and sexual violence in armed conflicts and since 2015 she has been a research consultant on gender issues for the Institute of International Affairs (IAI).

Vice President of WIIS Italy

Nicoletta Pirozzi is responsible for the "EU, politics and institutions" program and responsible for institutional relations of the Institute for International Affairs (IAI), contract professor at the Department of Political Sciences of the "Roma Tre" University.

She mainly deals with EU governance, political and institutional aspects of the Union's foreign and security policy, civilian crisis management, EU-United Nations relations and EU-Africa relations.

In 2012 she was seconded national expert to the European External Action Service (SEA) in Brussels. Previously she was Visiting Fellow at the EU Institute for Security Studies (EU-ISS) in Paris and Research Fellow within the European Foreign and Security Policy Studies Program. She holds a Masters in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges and a PhD in Institutions and Policies from the Catholic University of Milan.

An expert in European and immigration policies, and always passionate about gender issues, Dr. Loredana Teodorescu is the head of European and international affairs of the Luigi Sturzo Institute and associate researcher at the Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies in Brussels.

She mainly deals with immigration policy of the European Union; EU governance, foreign and neighborhood policy; security and borders; gender issues.

After her master's degree in International Relations, she obtained a doctorate in Political Science-European and International Studies from the University of Rome Tre focusing her research on the link between internal security and external action of the European Union in the field of immigration .

She collaborates with the chair of EU law and institutions and the Altiero Spinelli Center of Excellence (CeAS) of the Roma Tre University, worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the Italian Presidency of the Union and has collaborated with several think tanks and foundations in Europe.

She was born in Italy to Romanian parents, she loves to travel and learn about new cultures.
