Scope of Work and Deliverables

The Knowledge Management and Learning function in GEI is a newly established function. The consultant is expected to be an experienced knowledge management and learning consultant to help manage IFC wide knowledge and management initiatives that equip IFC with the right knowledge and competence to deliver on IFC’s Roadmap 2030 for Gender and Economic Inclusion.

  • Knowledge Management Development: Develop and execute knowledge products to support GEI’s objectives and strategic positioning in collaboration with other gender consultant in the VPU and across the region and industries.
  • Content Management and Curation: Create, curate and disseminate knowledge content related to Gender and Economic Inclusion; and ensure that content is accessible, up-todate, and relevant to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among internal and external stakeholders, including industries, regions, World Bank, MIGA, external partners, academics, and think tanks
  • Digital Tools and Platforms Management: Manage digital tools and platforms used for knowledge management, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and comply with ITS policies and procedures.
  • Learning and Capacity Building: Develop and deliver learning programs to raise awareness of the business case for economic inclusion and women’s full participation in the private sector and build staff capacity to deliver on IFC’s Gender and Economic Inclusion priorities.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish metrics and processes to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in knowledge management; and promote innovation and the adoption of new approaches to enhance knowledge management within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 8 years of experience in gender, knowledge management and/or learning ,ideally in a multicultural and global entity, with a proven track record of success.
  • A Master’s degree related to the area of gender, international development, organizational development, or equivalent areas of expertise.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with proven experience in working in situations of both formal and non-formal reporting authority. Proven ability to work with and align multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze and respond to challenges with a can-do attitude and proper problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a collaborative and responsive team.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting and inspiring a positive, energetic culture of innovation.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with a keen interest in learning, creating efficient processes, and seamless user experience.
