Dr. Armgard von Reden advises companies on diversity and data protection issues. She has been a lecturer and visiting professor for international, data protection and security management at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Leibniz University in Hanover. From 2002 to 2011 she was a director at IBM, where she was responsible for the liaison office for Germany and the CIS states, corporate social responsibility, data protection for EMEA, as well as university relations and the IBM German Womens’ Leadership Council. Prior to that, she held various international management positions at IBM, including Paris and Brussels.
In the nineties, she was chief speechwriter for Rita Suessmuth, President of the German Bundestag for three years. She also worked as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. Congress (House and Senate), including on defense issues, and taught at Georgetown University and wrote articles for the London Economist.
