An expert in European and immigration policies, and always passionate about gender issues, Dr. Loredana Teodorescu is the head of European and international affairs of the Luigi Sturzo Institute and associate researcher at the Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies in Brussels.

She mainly deals with immigration policy of the European Union; EU governance, foreign and neighborhood policy; security and borders; gender issues.

After her master’s degree in International Relations, she obtained a doctorate in Political Science-European and International Studies from the University of Rome Tre focusing her research on the link between internal security and external action of the European Union in the field of immigration .

She collaborates with the chair of EU law and institutions and the Altiero Spinelli Center of Excellence (CeAS) of the Roma Tre University, worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the Italian Presidency of the Union and has collaborated with several think tanks and foundations in Europe.

She was born in Italy to Romanian parents, she loves to travel and learn about new cultures.
