Prior to joining WIIS, Ruth Mikre spent the last decade working in association and database management, gaining experience in membership recruitment, retention, and engagement within the transportation and education sectors. She received her M.A. from George Mason University in Global Affairs, specializing in gender and development. As an undergraduate student at Virginia Tech, Ruth earned a B.A. in International Studies specializing in world politics and policies and a B.F.A. in Visual Arts, focusing on painting and photography.
