Resolution 1325 was a landmark resolution and catalyst for the advancement of gender equality and the promotion of women’s rights in the peace and security field. The event proceedings will address why the passage of 1325 was such a critical milestone, an evaluation of where we stand today at 25 (progress vs. challenges), and where our future efforts should be focused as the WPS agenda moves forward into the next 25 years.
