Join WIIS, the NGO Committee on the Status of Women, NY, the Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers, Soka Gakkai International, and the United Religions Initiative for a parallel event at the sixty-eighth session of the Commission on the Status of Women.

This session is intended to initiate debate on the future of the WPS agenda in light of the 25th anniversary of the passage of UNSCR 1325 in October 2025 by exploring measures to increase its financing. Various issues, challenges, and considerations for action will be explored with participants, such as gender budgeting, the critical role civil society and public and private donors must play, the important contributions religious organizations make to advancing gender equality and conflict mitigation and prevention, and how the WPS agenda can be more effective even in the absence of adequate funding streams.
